Parish Advisory on Texas Right to Life

from the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops’ (TCCB)

  • “This advisory regards the hostile position of Texas Right to Life towards the authentic Catholic teaching on the dignity of human life presented by the Texas Catholic Bishops in communion with the Holy See. Texas Right to Life at times seeks volunteers from parishes and Catholic schools to participate in their efforts. We write to inform you of our concerns with Texas Right to Life and we urge parishes not to participate in their activities or allow the organization to use parish sites. (Texas Right to Life is not to be confused with Texas Alliance for Life or Texans for Life Coalition, which are separate organizations and remain consistent with the bishops’ positions.)

St. Patrick Cathedral offers many ways for you to apply the teachings of our beautiful Catholic Faith into ministries alongside other members of our Parish family. A few of these are: Youth Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, Altar Society, Knights of Columbus, Christ Before Us (an outreach ministry to the homeless).

  • teaching to help you grow in your faith

Our Cathedral offers many classes and opportunities for individuals and families to gather to search the Holy Scriptures together and to pray for each others needs.  These classes are made available through various programs: Children's Formation, Adult Formation and RCIA .

  • This ministry allows you to provide a complete ready-to-eat meal for our Parish Priests by bringing: a Monday mid-day or a Friday evening meal.

The Cathedral's Debt-Reduction Fund

As of Jan. 2018, we are undertaking this debt reduction effort that will be done through a special monthly second collection for the next three years (36 months). The debt is from the building of the pastoral center, renovation of the rectory, streetscape and acquisition of the Dollar property - all facilities which were much needed for St. Patrick Cathedral and have helped us tremendously. Please pray and consider how God is calling you to partner with other members of our parish family to reduce our debt and retire our mortgage.
